in fact, wild to watch people go having serious discussions about interacting with art as a form of creativity to it being seen as a form of capitalist brainwashing to even mention a movie or band. Hell world all around
i know some part of it is because posers and brands have co-opted fandom but there’s also just been a massive shift in the way people conceptualize interacting with art as contributing to the capitalist machine and allowing yourself to become brainwashed into docility or using it as some kind of self identifier that needs to be dismantled.
